A visit to the Museo del Banco Central is a must with its magnificent ancient ceramics and beautiful pre-Columbian gold artifact from over 5,000 years of Ecuadorian heritage. Quito is also the best place in the country to sample the hearty local cuisine after a busy day of sightseeing.
