Brazil’s first colonial capital, the city of Salvador would make for an excellent base to explore the tropical coast. Known as “a terra da felicidade” (land of happiness) by the locals, this naturally stunning coast is home to everything from historic colonial cities to deserted stretches of soft sand.
Bahia is an incredible state. Salvador, the capital is a city full of energy and colours. Beaches, culture, capoeira, great infrastructure, Bahia is something you have to visit.
