tortuguero & caribbean coast

Famous for the sea turtles that populate its glittering shores, the Caribbean Coast is home to some of Costa Rica’s most beautifully remote locations.

Often overlooked for the larger and more developed Pacific side, Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast stretches from the jungles of Tortuguero to the sandy beaches of Gandoca Manzanillo. Dedicated to the protection of endangered sea turtles, it’s the less-trodden coast of Costa Rica, cut off from much of the outside world. With many places only accessible from the air, this rich and peaceful coast is the perfect reward to those venturing off the beaten path.
