Dotted by coffee farms and with a wealth of adventure sports, the hillside town of Boquete has plenty to fill your days before hitting the Caribbean beaches of Bocas del Toro.

With a gorgeous natural backdrop, the exciting activities on its doorstep are what keeps the steady stream of adventurers flowing into the town. To the north, the stunning archipelago of Bocas del Toro makes for a gentle change of pace, with its sleepy Caribbean beaches the perfect spot for some much-needed relaxation.

best time to visit

December - April

This is dry season in Panama. Due to its high elevation, Boquete is blessed with a pleasant climate for most of the year, and escapes many of the extreme conditions that hit other parts of the country. If you’re looking to explore the underwater world of Bocas del Toro, visiting during the dry season can improve visibility.
